GW2: A take a particularly tricky shot while playing Putt-Putt golf. Initially, the ball rolls 8.5 m due east before bouncing off a wall and continuing 2.5 m in the direction 30° south of east. The ball bounces off another wall and rolls 0.5 m due west into the hole. The shot takes 12 seconds for the ball to enter the hole. What is the average velocity of the ball during the shot? PHYS 1100 Spring 2012 Problems with position (no derivatives needed): “When is the object at the origin?” “When is the object’s displacement zero?” Plug in and solve for t “What is the position of the object at t=t 1?” “What is the object’s displacement from the origin at t=t 1?” Plug t=t 1 into the function for “What is the displacement of the object between t=t 1 and t=t 2?”

What students are saying

• As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

Kiran Temple University Fox School of Business ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

Dana University of Pennsylvania ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
