FULLER’S SECTIONS ONLY!!! Students in Prof. Koo’s sections write a different exam!!! Instructor : David Fuller Rooms: Section 1 (mostly 1B Mechanical): A-L in RCH-301; M-Z in RCH-302. Section 2 (mostly 1B Management): A-L in RCH-305; M-Z in RCH-308. Aids Permitted : Non-communicating calculators only ( No cell phones, PDAs or computers). Formula sheet and interest tables are attached ( detach them if you wish, as they need not be turned in ). Time available : 2 hours. Instructions: Write in the spaces provided. If you need more space, use the blank page 13 or the back of a page, but be sure to write a note to the marker to indicate where your answer continues. This exam has 16 pages, with 12 questions on pages 3 to 12, plus an extra blank page for your work, two pages of interest tables, and a formula sheet; check to make sure no pages are missing. Please be sure to put your name on this cover page, and UW ID number on every page. Show your work . For example, show the interest factor symbols (like (P/A,i,N) – any such symbols that appear on the list of formulas) that you use in a calculation. Be sure to read the whole of each question and answer all parts. Grading: see next page SPECIAL NOTE TO FALL 2010 STUDENTS: You will notice that many questions are straight out of the lecture notes (or close to that). THIS WON’T HAPPEN IN THE FALL 2010 TERM ! However, most questions will be “similar to” questions from the lectures and tutorials.
