Upon assessing the alternatives courses of action to deal with the suggested problems at hand, advantages and disadvantages of each alternative come into play. These outcomes need to be evaluated in order to select the best solution. The first proposition to a solution was to facilitate more effective communication. This would lead to the benefits of attaining a pool of diverse ideas, as more opinions would be taken into consideration, which brings us to another advantage; which is, that everyone’s ideas will be heard, involving the whole team. This will create a situation where some ideas will be selected and others discarded, ideally by means of constructive criticism, leading to positive conflict. Hence the group will not conform to a lower standard in an attempt to maintain harmony.
