Michael Knutson (11040656) Safi 21 September 2010 Anthropology 101 Section 4 Prehistory of the Nebulosas Chain The inhabitants of the Nebulosas seem to be a people whom migrated from the mainland of Illysium, to the Nebulosa Islands. A clear migration pattern shows a trend from west to east, beginning on Drygalski Island. The artifacts discovered at the Foggy Bottom excavation site of Drygalski Island are dated around 9,500 years old. The bifacially worked artifacts of obsidian and chert display primitive knowledge of hunting technology, and the faunal remains including clams and sea urchins prove that fishing capabilities were limited. A migration east to the Island of Helios is evident in the dates of the artifacts, as well as the superior engineering of their tools. In the 4,000 plus years that Helios Island was inhabited, the technologies advanced substantially.
