SEMESTER LONG LEARNING ASSIGNMENT Personal Development Plan (Phase 2) Memo #1 It has been two weeks from the date I submitted my Personal Development Plan Phase 1. At the beginning stage of my self-improvement process, I set up several new goals to create an appropriate environment to cultivate some of the seven habits and made some breakthroughs on some of the habits. Habit 1: Be Proactive As mentioned in PDP1, I am not very proactive in interpersonal communication with others who have different background and personality type. Therefore, I made a huge progress on this aspect. I went to an Aviation Summit at Chicago with one of my friends who came from China as a representative of the Air Traffic Control Bureau of China, and I made a lot of friends in the summit, built many connections and acquired much specified knowledge in the aviation industry. During the summit, one thing on the schedule was to visit Chicago O’Hare International Airport. I visited the control center that is in charge of all the airplanes’ dispatches; also the airport expansion project that restructuring the airport into a more capable airport. Those are brand-new things for me, and they broader my horizon about knowing the world. Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind
