Seems that changing varibles (Area -A & Area - B) can not be quotients in the calculation process. Therefore, all equations where manipulated such that Area - A & Area - B where a product of the coefficients. Second Page of excel shows this with different numbers (i.e smaller #'s) This made solver find the best solution for the each material.**- Best Material to choose from was carbon steel with a total cost of \$117.34. With Member - A having a crossectional area of .5 in2 & Member - B had a cross sectional area of 3.143 in2...
