Overview: Nearly all of the world's power that is supplied to a major grid is produced by turbines. From steam turbines used at coal-burning electricity plants to liquid water turbines used at hydro-electric plants, turbines are versatile machines yet of simple design. The modern world’s predicament of energy crisis can be met up by the use of efficient turbines of all kinds for power generation. Our role here is to focus on water turbines and attempt to come up with a few improvements in the operational parameters that could possibly contribute in increasing the efficiency of water turbines thus leading to lesser energy losses.
