Unformatted text preview: WEEKLY REFLECTIONS 1 Weekly Reflections The importance of making a distinction in the critical evaluation is the distinction between the person and the idea. This means by knowing a person either it be political or some other person, do not reject their ideas just because of their name until you hear the whole idea. Next we have in the distinction of evaluation in critical thinking is making a distinction between matter of taste and the matter of judgment, matter of taste is when we express our personal preference without defending them and the matter of judgment is we have obligations to provide evidence or have materials to support our basis of views or opinions. When making a distinction between fact and interpretation, a fact is something known with certainty for example (an astronaut went to the moon). We know this to be factual. With interpretation is an explanation of meaning or significance....
