Introduction , This M&A will be a big change for this company. Whether we are going to combine the HR departments into one or keep their department also, we do things very differently here than the company that we are acquiring does. I am concerned specifically concerned how this merger will affect our Training and Development. M&A impact , Our company currently has a highly rated training program, and the company that we are acquiring does not. We need to be on one page to ensure that our employees do not get confused. I assume that we will be transitioning into one training and development program, and I would prefer that we use what we have now instead of combining the two. Integration strategy , I plan to have a handbook made up for the new employees and offer them an orientation that they must attend. This will help to integrate them into our company. I will also allow them to freely contact human resources or their managers with any issues that they might have. We want to make this as easy as possible on everyone, and I will

Action plan, I plan to go through the files of the newly acquired employees once we decide who all we are keeping and getting rid of, to see who really needs some new training. I may need to create specific trainings for them, because we do not currently have trainings that cover all aspects that these newly acquired employees are lacking. The company that we are acquiring fell short on human resources, and as a result we have a lot of work to do, but I am confident that we can get these employees up to where we expect our employees to be. Outcomes: If everything that I have outlined is done effectively we will have a smooth transition and in no time, the employees that are not keeping up will be gone. We need to make sure that we keep up on these new employees to make sure that they are meeting all performance goals. If they are not we need to determine why....
