One great form of cardio-respiratory activity listed in the textbook is running, this allows us to be able to perform exercise using large-muscle groups at moderate of high intensity for prolonged periods. It requires the circulatory and respiratory systems to supply oxygen to the body during physical activity. It is a good indicator of overall health, and it can prevent the increased risk of diseases or even premature death. It helps make the circulatory and respiratory systems more efficient by enlarging the heart muscle, enabling more blood to be pumped throughout the body, it also increase the amount of oxygen that gets distributed to body tissues.
