In order to manage with less money in the county’s budget, the county must layoff many social workers, take away money from health programs, as well as take away money from social services. These social services include programs for the poor, children, the mentally ill, as well as the elderly. 3) Do you agree with the budget decision in the making or has already been made? I think that in order to balance the budget, Contra Costa County officials should have made cuts from less important social services, such as road construction and other less crucial services.
