SENIOR SERVICE PROJECT For my senior service project, I volunteered my time at Aegis, an elderly home in Moraga. The Aegis Living company was founded in 1997 and is now serving 35 communities across the United States. Aegis Living provides seniors with 24-hour medical care, offers many amenities, such as meals, planned activities, a fitness room, and anything else an elderly person may need. The specific home in Moraga is classified as assisted-living, which means that it specifically serves seniors who need help, both mentally and physically, as well as seniors seeking memory care, a program Aegis provides that surrounds residents with familiar things from the past. This organization is especially important, because the seniors residing here are sometimes not able to care for themselves, or their families may be unable to care for them. A singe fall for a senior citizen could be fatal, especially if they live alone. Aegis provides a home and constant attention, as well as an emergency call button for
