I found everything to be interesting, and also find that the textbook that we have assigned for this class is more useful than the ones I had before in my other strategic management classes. What did I learn? What I learned this week was why a strategic management process is needed in a organization and how the organization will benefit from using it long-term. After some confusion I finally understand what the primary components of strategic management are. Depending on what reference material you use, the answer to this could be different. However, the appropriate components are environmental scanning, strategic formulation, strategy implementation, and evaluation and control.
