Kimbra Ussery 11/8/2011 Book Review Assessment Rubric: High Cotton Exceeds Expectations Impressive, Effective Meets Expectations Competent Does Not Meet Expectations Weak, Unacceptable Background/Context : Overall subject in context, reviewer’s “angle” or point of view. Reviewer’s credentials (HC: #5, 6, 7, 8, 9; MG #3, 4, 5) The reviewer’s purpose is clear and consistent throughout the review. The credentials are easily found because there is a paragraph specifically for them. It is also obvious that the reviewer knows what he is talking about from the content of the review. Organization: Information fits standard review organization (HC and MG do not include all same information, but both follow a basic similar pattern) The information in the review is organized in a standard way, and certain sections are easily found and labeled. However, this sort of organization did not work for me. It was slightly confusing how he explained everything first and then provided examples. He should have
