UCSB Music 17 Winter 2012 UCSB Music 17 Worlds of Music Mid-term Study Guide Professor Hellier-Tinoco rhellier-tinoco@music.ucsb.edu From the questions below, 15 will be in the mid-term exam. This means that you can now study for the mid-term and prepare your answers. You will not need to bring a blue book – you will be given the exam paper, and you must write your answers in the spaces following each question (there will be more space than given in this study- guide). Please make sure that you write clearly and legibly – if it is too difficult to read your answer, you will not receive a grade. PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: * You must write NO MORE THAN 3 sentences for each answer. (If you do, the excess sentences will be discounted). * If a question can be answered with bullet points or short phrases you do not need to use full sentences (e.g. “Name three ….). * All of your answers MUST relate specifically to lectures, sections, readings, and concerts that have been part of the course. 1.
