Sexual Violence Against Women 20:35 Rape Culture- a culture in which rape is prevalent and is maintained through beliefs  about gender, sexuality, and violence. Moves away from thinking of rape as individual acts and looks at the deeper reasons for  why rape happens Things men can do to prevent sexual violence: Realize its not just a women’s issue, Don’t remain silent. Question your own attitudes If someone you know is being abused, ask if you can help. Be an ally to women.
