1.17.12  Happiness 1. What is good for  you?  a. Making our life better or better off b. Money   to use it for something, to spend on something ‘buying’ b.i. Vacation, luxury items, food etc.    Why is it good though? b.i.1. It’s not good in itself, only good to be used  (instrumentally)~only good because u can use it as a tool  c. Instrumentally item examples c.i. Cars c.ii. Education c.iii. Material items  c.iv. Health at times c.iv.1. With all these things we can ask, “why is that good for  you” c.iv.2. Good answer: if you have those things, that will help  me receive happiness d. Being Healthy – prolonging your existence  d.i. Suppose you’ve been cursed to external health and misery Is it  good for you? d.i.1. Perhaps not e. f. Longer life vs. shorter life f.i.
