Was Mr. Zimpfer a victim of illegal age discrimination according to the ADEA and case law? Explain your position. Cite relevant court cases to justify your position. If you are undecided, explain why. Yes, Mr. Zimpfer was a victim of illegal age discrimination according to the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) and case law. Per the text, “ADEA was designed to prohibit age discrimination in employment decisions such as hiring, job retention, compensation and other terms and conditions. There are certain requirements for establishing a prima facie case of age discrimination. Mr. Zimpfer is a victim as all the requirements that were violated by Palm Beach County. Mr. Zimpfer, is a member of the protected age group (40 or older), he has the ability to perform satisfactorily at some absolute or relative level.
