MGMT 29000 Programming for Business Applications Fall 2011 Lab 1 Lab Purpose: The purpose of this lab is to further familiarize you with the Alice development environment. You will also become acquainted with basic systems analysis and design principles, as well as introduce problem decomposition techniques. Lab Instructions: Description: Write an original script or play (10-20 seconds long), and use Alice to create an animated version of it. The plot of your script is that a customer has a product that he/she/it would like to return to a customer service representative. For example, a customer wishes to return a sweater that was given as a gift. You should have a customer object, a customer service object, and a product object. There should be at least five actions implemented in your story. You do not need to create a “store” environment for your story, but are welcome to be as creative as you wish (and have time for). You should first create the story board sketch of your script, including each shot/scene. You will sketch these shots by hand (or in PowerPoint) and they don’t need to be beautiful, just get the idea across. Then your shots should be implemented in Alice.
