They have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that's power. Because they control the minds of the masses. 2) Today media outlets are readily available wherever you look. 3) With these outlets comes a generous amount of bias B) Statement of Relevance 1) As our generation begins to hold positions of power in the world, it is important that we learn to formulate our own opinions regarding current events and political policy C) Statement of Credibility 1) I am an independent thinker who rarely takes media coverage at face value. 2) I am not affiliated with a political party D) Thesis Statement 1) Whether you get your news from television, newspapers, articles, or the Internet, it is important to recognize that media coverage is largely biased.
