Features of Capitalism Already Present in the 13th c. World System: 1. conventional ways for credit to be extended and paid off 2. developed techniques for pooling capital and risks and for sharing profits and losses 3. production for export had begun to reorganize the way goods were produced and exchanged in the domestic economies that fed this world system (both in the East and in the West) •. All of these features were much more developed in China and the Arab & Islamic Worlds than they were in Europe in the 13th c.
