Michael Yoon White-Tues 6:30 WA #1 Materials and Methods Human Cheek Cell Isolation Human cheek cells were retrieved by rinsing the mouth with a 10mL saline (.9%NaCL) solution. The sample was spun in a centrifuge for 10 minutes. After the removal of the supernatant, the cell pellet was mixed with 500mL of 10% Chelex suspension. The cell sample was mixed and boiled in water for 10 minutes. Cooled in ice for 2 minutes, the cell sample was spun in a microcentrifuge for 30 seconds.
