What to expect on the final exam for ECP 3302 The final exam is scheduled for Thursday, December 15, from 8 to 10 PM, in Bellamy 203 (our classroom). The exam will emphasize the environmental and resource topics covered since the midterm – from “The Value of the Earth’s Natural Resources” article posted for October 27, through the problem set review this past Thursday, as posted in the “Materials” section of the class Blackboard site). In considering those issues, we have relied on the economic ideas and principles from the first part of the semester to evaluate basic questions about efficiency, externalities, rivalry and indivisibility of natural and environmental resources, and resource scarcity. So, even though the exam is not 'cumulative,' in the usual sense of the term, you'll still need to remember, and know how to use, the various methods and concepts from the midterm, such as externalities, efficiency, and discounting. That may also include topics that didn’t appear on the midterm exam. On the final, as we've done in class, you should be able to: - identify the economic explanation for a particular environmental or natural
