Week One DQ 1 Post a 150- to 300-word response to the following discussion question by clicking on Reply: Refer to Figure 1-1 of Personal Finance . List the five steps in the personal financial planning process. Share one or two questions you may ask yourself when you are in Step 1. There are five steps in the personal financial planning process that is listed in our book. Step one is Analyze Your Current Financial Position (determine where the money is coming from and where the money is going). Step two is Develop Short-Term and Long- Term Financial Goal (identifies and prioritizes specific goals and objectives). Step three is Identify and Evaluate Alternative Strategies for Achieving Your Goals (identify alternative strategies for achieving goals and compare the costs and benefits of each) Step four is Implement a Plan for Achieving Your Goals (decide on the best strategies for achieving your goals). Step five is Regularly Reevaluate and Revise Your Plan (continually back to steps 1-4) I can honestly think of many questions in step one. I know with me it is me and the kids so when I do the bills I have to make sure my husband has money for what he needs in VA. It makes it hard because just for me to have time with him I have to find money to be able to go see him down in VA or to get him home.
