He felt his image, properly portrayed, could do a great deal of good to empower him. Even the the depictions of his coronation and the coronation of his wife were more fiction than truth to make him look more royal. All art was done to perpetuate his image. What about Davids art (both style and subject matter) exemplifies the Neoclassical style? Be able to describe examples of these qualities from his paintings. His style is realistic and idealized.
