Week 4 Application Please save this document to your computer. Then, add your work and answers under each question. Post in your Individual Forum as an attachment as a Word Document. Don’t forget to show your work! I decided to replace my wonderful convertible with a minivan a few years back. (You know, 3 kids and all…) I finally had just a few models left to decide between. One of the factors that it came down to was the price…. For either vehicle, I had $6000 between cash and a trade in. I also knew that I wanted a monthly payment of $450. 1. Write my expenditure for my minivan in slope intercept form. (Y= m x+b) Y =450x+6000 (x=number of monthly payments) 2. What is the slope? 450 3. What is the y-intercept? 6000 4. A. If I want a 48 month car loan, how much can I pay total for my minivan? Y=450(48)+6000 Y=21600+6000 Y=27600 B. What about a 72 month car loan? Y=450(72)+6000
