Check for main topics in each chapter I the order they will be covered Question What questions did you ask? This exercise focuses on what you know about the topic. How can I learn more about the topic? By research and getting outside information. Ask others that know amore about the topic. I would be looking at the chapter headings. I would ask can I break it up into logical sections and come up with questions that help me find a way to get the main idea. Read How did you read? I spoke aloud. I focused on the main idea picked out the main topics. I also focused on boldface on reciting. I asked my friend Nicole to help me and we found that paying attention to chapter headings, objectives heading and summaries, were very helpful. I ask her my questions and

Had my friend quiz me regarding general topics. This took me about 45 minutes to be cable to recite. Review How did you review? Reviewing started for me as soon as I finished the chapter and couple GEN/105 times a week and then once a month. It seemed that every time I read it again I learned more. And figured out what I needed to polish up on. Wrap-Up Questions : How successful was the SQ3R process in helping you grasp the concepts in the section you selected? Will you use SQ3R in the future as a way to master the content in academic readings? I felt that the SQ3R process was I will use it very helpful. I will use it again. It helped me grasp the concepts.
