QUALITIES OF A GOOD MANAGER Demonstrating and Understanding what really makes a good manager, is provided through the list of qualities below supported with explanations. Intelligence: A good manager should be able to understand difficult ideas and deal with different issues in workplace. Emotional Intelligence skills for example, aim to build training in an easy, practical and user-friendly technique. Self-Confidence: This happens when the manager has to be willing and able to lead others and set an example. This also means he must be able to stand calm at zero hour when something doesn’t go their way. Initiative: The manager has to be able to suggest solutions to problems and take control of situations. It also means to show or have energy. Assertiveness and Determination : The manager has to be able to take command of others and to push through ideas and policies to their conclusion. Assertiveness allows managers to remain in control. Communication Skills: Managers have to be capable to put ideas and messages across to subordinates in a clever way which will encourage them to respond positively. Managers are also the team's link to the larger organization. Through effective communication, the manager support individual and team achievements by creating guidelines for accomplishing tasks and for the career advancement of team members. Dedication:
