All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone 11/8/07 MUSC205 The Explosions in the Sky, an Austin based instrumental band most famous for scoring the blockbuster film Friday Night Lights, released their latest effort All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone , on February 20, 2007, and their first since the movie. The album consists of much of the same as their past releases; The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place and Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Die, Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Live Forever , towering guitars slowly building steam, creating melodies around piano and drums. Their melodies slowly build into huge crescendos sending one into a trance. The songs blend seamlessly together into what seems like a single 45 minute symphony. However to their music has started to become a bit formulaic. Each song either starts slowly or with an explosion of sound, then crescendos into a tornado of sound. That is not to detract from the beauty of their music, their melodies are still haunting, their guitar work still imaginative and beautiful. The guitars ebb
