iii DEDICATION I dedicate this project to my maker, my firm foundation, my source of inspiration, God the All- Mighty for wisdom, knowledge, and comprehension. He has been the source of my power, the software, and I've just soared on His wings. It is a dedication to my father, who taught me that the best kind of wisdom to acquire is what one learns for his own sake. It is a dedication to my mother, who showed me that if it is done one step at a time, even the biggest mission can come to an end. It's a dedication to my mate, who challenged me to use my computing skills and knowledge to develop farming. May God bless you.
iv ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS It was a long time, and I know it is coming to an end; I hope it's worth it, and the results of this study would help improve the popularity of Agricultural Information Technology programs. For the most part, I reverently bow my head to the 'Omnipotent Lord' who gave the blessings to me during this process, and a clear conclusion to it. I want to thank all those who supported, encouraged, and guided me through this project; Family, colleagues, classmates, teachers, a group of smart farmers. v ABSTRACT Agriculture is a significant input field in any country's economic growth. The survival of a majority of the country's population, such as Kenya, depends on farming. In this project, a Smart Farming System is build using the advantages of cutting-edge technology to help farmers improve their Farming ways. Sixty percent of the Kenyan population practices farming as a source of income and food, improving the farming process and improving their lifestyle. A farmer's assistant may be necessary to help the farmer keep track of the farming process, farming expenses and inform about possible and prominent diseases and pests that can affect the productivity of farm produce to list only a few of its benefits. Objectively, this application intends to help boost farming standards, improve the quality and quantity of farm produce, improve the economy of the country through agriculture, track the farmer's expenses and income for potential review by the farmer, and improve farming as a source of revenue. I based my research on various journals, publications, newspaper articles, and interacting with some farmers on improving agriculture using I.C.T.s.
