Annie He Kinetics of an Iodine Clock Reaction Introduction In this experiment we will determine the solubility of different solutes when mixed with several different solvents. A general rule for this experiment is “likes dissolve likes”. Chemical Responsibility As always, goggles need to be worn at all times during the lab. Be sure to dispose of all solutions in the proper containers. Group member 1 must pour all solutions into the waste alcohol container; group member 2 must pour all solutions containing sodium chloride, copper (II) sulfate, potassium bromide, and sodium acetate into the waste salts container, pour all solutions containing iodine into the waste iodine container, and pour all solutions containing sucrose into the waste sugar container; group member 3 must pour all solutions containing acetic acid, stearic acid, and benzoic acid into the waste carboxylic acid container, pour all solutions containing naphthalene and pentane into the
