Anh Hoang 01/24/07 TA: Annie He Lab Day: Tuesday 2:50 PM Solubility, Intermolecular Forces, and Polarity A. Introduction In this experiment, I worked in a group with two other members to determine the solubility of a group of compounds (solutes) in an assortment of solvents. B. Chemical Responsibility Be careful when handling glassware and equipment in the lab. If you break any glassware, be sure to dispose of it in the broken glass container provided and inform the lab instructor. Do not dispose of any of the solutions by pouring them down the sink drain. Put all wastes in their proper labeled disposal container. If you come into contact with any of the solutes or solvents, be sure to wash your hands immediately to prevent any kind of skin irritation or harm. Wear goggles at all times. If chemicals come into contact with eyes, immediately wash them at the eye washing station and seek help from instructor or medical professional if necessary. Handle all chemicals
