Kayli Sanchez Wrt 101 Movie Review Is it Love? Have you ever wondered if love actually exists, or if it is just some made up emotion that society tries so desperately to find in the cruel world in which we exist? In the movie The Notebook , directed by Nick Cassavetes , the question of whether true unconditional love exists is displayed through the emotional rollercoaster of a movie. The movie begins in the summer of 1940 in the resort town of Seabrook, North Carolina. Two teenagers, Noah Calhoun (Ryan Gosling) who plays in Remember the Titans and Fractured and Allie Hamilton (Rachel McAdams) who also stars in Mean Girls and Wedding Crashers , find themselves falling deeply in love. Her parents then discover how intensely the two lovebirds are involved and with their extreme disapproval, they pack up their summer house and move back home. Her family came from a life of wealth whereas he came from the working class. Their disapproval came not from the person that he was but rather his lack of social standing. They felt that he was not suitable for their daughter to be involved with.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
