Discuss the correlation between nursing education and positive patient outcomes. Include current research that links patient safety outcomes to advanced degrees in nursing. Based on some real-life experiences, explain whether you agree or disagree with this research. Nursing education has a direct correlation to patient’s outcome. The IOM report explained a direct influence of nursing education on patient’s care and safety, especially in this present evolving health care system. If the nurse’s roles are expanding, there should be a commensurate improvement in education and training to deliver safe patients’ care. There are three different paths to becoming a Registered Nurse: ADN, a diploma in nursing, or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.
