Chapter 8 East Africa: The Advent of Homo First Evidence of the Hominins - One of the australopith species gave rise by cladogenesis to creatures that were bigger brained and produced a lithic culture, these are the first representatives of the subtribe Hominina, Homo The Discovery of Homo habilis - Jonathan Leakey discovered a fossil near the Paranthropus boisei site, but this fossil had much larger molars and a sagittal crest.
