Mid-Term ExamTotal exam duration: 48 hours.The mid-term consists of three sections. Section I will relate to material from the firstpart of the class. You will be presented with two questions from which you will chooseone. A full and correct answer will be worth 40% of the grade.Section II will relate to material from the second part of the class. You will be presentedwith three questions from which you will choose one. A full and correct answer will beworth 40% of the grade.Section III will also relate to material from the second part of the class. You will bepresented with four concepts. You will be asked to define two of these concepts. A fulland correct and will be worth 5% of the grade per concept (a total of 10% of the grade forthis part of the exam).The remaining 10% of the grade will be awarded only to students who abide by all of the following five rules:1. You must submit your answers electronically to your GSI before 48 hours have elapsed. [Note: This exam was initially designed as an 80 minute in-class exam. It should take you no more than two hours to complete this exam.]2. All of your answers should appear in one Word document. Use 12 point font, Times New Roman, double spaced. 3. Make sure your name appears at the top of the first page.4. Do not use footnotes, endnotes, or any other citations. Rely on information from the lectures, sections, and readings only.5. Do not exceed 1,500 words for each of the long answers. Do NOT. Limit your answer to 5-10 sentences for each of the brief concepts at the end of the exam.
