Motivation behind Crimes
Introduction
The motivation for any criminal behavior varies depending on the type of crime.
The crime rate in areas where people live in absolute poverty will differ from areas occupied
by those who are not poor. Poverty will drive people to indulge in criminal activities, perhaps
to meet their financial needs that appear endless. There are other motivators of criminal acts
such as addiction, mental disability, revenge, and pleasure to commit the crime. Criminal
justice professionals will always find it hard to understand what motivates people to commit
crimes until they study different types of crimes and how they are committed worldwide. An
understanding of the same will also help them identify the crime and, apprehend criminals,
and bring them to justice. Therefore, to understand the motivation behind crimes, it is crucial
to address the individual types of crimes.

The internet provides an opportunity for criminals to exploit individuals and
businesses for their individual achievements. Today, computer and internet are inseparable
and these are tools that provide an opportunity for cybercrimes. The reason why cybercrimes
are rampant is that internet technology enables people to commit these kind of crimes from
any part of the world as long as they can access network. Such kinds of crime happen in the
digital world but have serious consequences in the economy of the entire society. According
to
