On October 5, 2007, my staff and I were asked to gather information on how to raise the gross profit of our company. We spend much time reviewing the daily operations and interviewing customers as well as employees. With all the data received during our research, my staff and I feel that the following recommendations will be the best way to improve gross profit: 1. We should construct a fully interactive website with interactive agents to sell cars online. 2. Build more cars with an average gas mileage over 30 mpg. 3. Close dealerships within 5 miles of each other. 1. MAKE E-COMMERCE FULLY AVAILABLE TO CUSTOMERS The World Wide Web has become the new telephone, telemarketer, spokesman, news broadcaster, and now car salesman. The website would consist of not only every make model and color car, but there would be a representative who can use instant messaging to discuss the car with you. These representatives would be able to answer all your questions and show you 3D images as well as videos of the car you are looking at. Younger customers who have grown up with the World Wide Web are fully accustomed to how it is used and therefore they will be the focus of our website. By being able to buy your car right from the internet, there will be less of a need for car dealerships. Buying your car online is going to become available very soon so it is best that we be the first to do so....
