Lab 4- Hooke’s Law Lab
Define the following terms:
Elasticity – The ability of an object to be stretched or compressed and return to its original shape
Weight – The magnitude of the gravitational force
What does Hooke’s Law state? State your answer in words. Do not write an equation. A principle
that states that the force needed to extend or compress a spring by some distance is proportional to
that distance. Hooke's law states that the applied force F equals constant k times the displacement or
change in length x.
