Organizational change is necessary for organizations to remain competitive and to adapt to globalization. Discuss how leaders might assess organizational need for change and identify tools leaders might employ to determine the need for change.Leaders must assess organizational needs for change. That is key for the success of the organization. However finding the tool that will help identify the specific need it imperative for the success of the organization. There is a realness about the accuracy of finding that tool. According to Khan, et al. (2014)there are several developed but are used due to selecting the tool that fits. Khan, et al. (2014) continuesto share that a multi-component approach helps to develop a support tool. A tool that measures the need for the type of business in operation, which provides timely but valid and reliable data is what leaders need. Currently a tool that is constantly used is a survey to assess all areas and the need for improvement as well as maintained. In the research completed by Khan, et al. (2014) there were investigators and field experts that aided in mapping and categorizing, there was a stakeholder panel for consultation for feasibility and relevance, information is then shared so that a usable tool is shaped for a more detailed way to conduct the assessment for the change that will be implemented. Organizations currently have had to adjust and change due to the current state the global pandemic has created. Companies that were once Italian restaurants are now creating PPE for the medical industry due to the temperature of their ovens and the fact that the food was not selling. Some other organizations have grown during this pandemic. Companies like Favor and Shipt are up in selling and profit due to have individuals that will personal shop or collect items for those that are not willing to do so, for a small fee. These companies adapted to the needs of the organization. In many organization human resources have professionals on the team that work in that capacity. According to the research completed by Baran, Filipkowski, and Stockwell (2018) human resources have numerous roles in an effort to secure change when needed. They extend this discussion with data revealing change primarily occurs top-down (Baran, Filiplowski, and Stockwell, 2018). Leaders must know that adaptation is an addition to the position or it can limit the organization (Baran, Filiplowski, and Stockwell, 2018). Baran, B. E., Filipkowski, J. N., & Stockwell, R. A.
