The knowledge about scientific research started growing from 1400 onward in almost every sphere of life. Earlier it was emphasized by the chritian beliefs that human body is a cuase of sin and temptations and should be avoided. This notion started changing and first focus was human body and various aspect of it were studied like the development of muscles, the underneath network of blood supply and other systems. The artist of the time also started copying these concepts in their art and literatures. During the Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo periods, a lot of things changed and began to make shape for the future (our present). Paintings, statues and works of art became more personalized and stylized according to the whims of different patrons or even for the artists themselves. There seemed to be an intellectual and educational shift in between which led to many different discoveries, enlightenments and inventions. While there are many different things included and excluded from our Unit’s readings that are significant in the story of that time, I will look at all three eras separately and talk about them in their own glory. Read on if you dare. Renaissance: Simply uttering this word takes you back in time to musical days in the West filled with bird songs, frilly collars and ginormous dresses.
