CHICAGO CONVENTION

The document was signed on December 7, 1944
•
It is signed by 52 signatory states
•
The Convention has been revised 8 times (in 1959, 1963, 1969, 1975,
1980, 1997, 2000 and 2006).
•
As of November 2017, the Chicago Convention had 192 state parties.
•
It includes all of the members of United Nationa except Dominica and
Liechtenstein.
•
The Cook Islands is a party to the convention although it is not a
member of UN.
•
Later on Liechtenstein was covered by the Convention by the ratification
of Switzerland.
