Pilot PlanA pilot plan is used in a data analytics setting to ensure that the CRISP-DM method is used properly, and that the data can be deployed as a model for the business solution in question. This kind of project consists of the first five steps in the CRISP-DM method—business understanding, data understanding, data preparation, modeling and evaluation. The deployment stage of any project will occur once a pilot is determined to have value to the company. The pilotmodel for employee attrition at General Electric will follow these CRISP-DM steps:A.Understanding the business problem: This pilot aims to understand if the data available from G.E. will be sufficient enough to run a simulation that determines if employee attrition is a predictable outcome with a yes or no, binary outcome. B.Data understanding: We have a complete dataset given to us by the company for use in this pilot. In this step we aim to have a clear understanding of the variables present, their summary statistics, and the origins of the data. Under this stage, simple models are created to determine relationships, trends, and summarize the dataset (See Appendix A). C.Data preparation: This step of the pilot is important to the integrity of the dataset. During this stage, the data is combed for outliers, missing values, and any other perculiarities
