Clinical Field Experience AQuestioning Strategies in the Social Studies ClassroomAudrey BonnerELM- 3519/12/2020Questioning Strategies in the Social Studies ClassroomI observed two first grade social studies lessons on YouTube. I was not unable to have a discussion with a mentor teacher because of Covid-19. I noticed many questioning strategies being used during the social studies lessons. In the first lesson, I noticed Think-Pair-Share being used which is a good strategy that allows students to collaboratively work together to answer a question. I created four supplemental questions that are reflective of the content taught in the firstlesson I watched on YouTube. The questions are aligned to a DOK level. The first question is, “How did you get to school today?” This question is aligned to DOK level 1 because students must use their thinking skills to explain how they got to school. The second question is, “What did he use to walk to school?” This question aligns with DOK
