Executive summary Currently, businesses compete in terms of the supply chain network in place. Therefore, although quality and price affect business performance, companies with superior supply chains dominate the market. This research investigates challenges in the supply chain of an enterprise, how the problems affect business operations, and the appropriate solutions against these problems. The researcher will use a review of literature materials as the primary methodology of collecting the research data. To provide a further understanding of the subject, we use a case study of Nokia. Nokia is an international mobile development company.Introduction Industries and business firms have to acquire raw materials from suppliers and process them to end products. The last step is to deliver the products to consumers, and the cycle begins again. All these steps put together forms the supply chain of an organization. We can, therefore, define the supply chain as a system that links the business to the suppliers to facilitate the acquisition of raw materials, convert the materials to final products, and deliver them to consumers (Xu et al., 2019). SC is a system of steps undertaken to successfully provide products to customers (Van Goor, van Amstel, & van Amstel, 2019). Managing these stages to ensure success is what is known as supply chain management. The supply chain process might appear to be a simple procedure. problems, the impact, and solutions to the supply chain challenges identified. Background of the ResearchFor a long time, enterprises have competed based on the quality of services and products they present to them. A business with better services and commodities would dominate the market with no doubt. However, with the advance in technology, every organization is in the capacity of producing goods that satisfy the urge of clients. Because of these changes, competition among organizations has now shifted from products to supply chain (Li, Li, & Zhao, 2017). Businesses with strategic and organized supply chain networks have a high chance of thriving in the market compared to those with unreliable supply chain systems. The purpose of this project is to help organizations understand possible challenges in the supply chain that will contribute to the failure of the organization. After understanding the challenges, we further explain their impact on business performance and how organizations should handle them. As we have said, the performance of an enterprise in the current market
