a. Who in Ethiopian society has the most difficult time dealing with scarcity? After doing research on this topic I believe that most of the population of Ethiopia deal with different types of scarcity, the people that live in rural areas however have the most difficulties. b. What do they need most? Clean potable water, improved sanitation and new technologies for agriculture are some of the main needs of the citizens in Ethiopia. These resources are needed all over the country but the rural areas are the most affected. The population of Ethiopia is 96,769,000 people, out of those people 61 million lack access to safe water and 65 million lack access to improved sanitation. Soil erosion due to crude means of cultivation is affecting agriculture. c. How can their society provide for their wants and needs? Their society can provide for their wants and needs by asking more from their government. They should be unified as a people and develop a will to succeed as a country, instead of looking at their ethnic and religious differences. d. Why are they so impoverished? The reason Ethiopia is impoverished is because they have had multiple failed governments that have failed to manage their money in a way that advances their country. Natural catastrophes like draughts have led to famine and this has affected Ethiopia as well since they were not prepared.
