BIRCHWOOD LANE SCHOOLS Business Case It is understood that Birchwood Lane Schools currently records all student, instructor, and course data on paper. This is an extremely inefficient, inaccurate, and hard to manage way of organizing all the data within the district. Our goal is to input all that information into an easyto use and interrupt electronic system. This change is needed in order to meet state and federal requirements. As well as relocating resources to more productive areas, improvement of communication and collaboration between faculty, the school board, students and parents. There is an excess amount of information that needs to be collected, sorted, and then organized into the DBMS solution. The school has given their data requirements which are as follows: Student data including full name, full address, phone, email, birthdate, enrollment data, graduation date, courses taken, and courses currently enrolledInstructor data including full name, full address, phone, email, birthdate, hire date, courses taught, and courses currently assignedCourse data including course name, course start date, course end date, course category, instructor, and students Additional attributes that would be beneficial to include, that the district may not have
