Therany Dunnigan 07/05/11 Sociology Chapter three “Seeing Connections” by Michael Schwalbe was about seeing and understanding the connections with concepts and society. Schwalbe gave multiple examples of how concepts and people’s view points are connected to others things and a deeper meaning.”If we pay attention to how the different parts in society are connected, we are less likely to make wasteful and destructive choices about how to connect and use our common wealth.”(Schwalbe 2008:37) One of the examples he used was talking about the inequality between men and women. He said that if women just accept being subordinate at home or having a secondary position that they will never get treated fairly in the work place or in politics.
