significant digit in a r andomly selected number than other digits. The law also predicts
that the number "1" is the most likely to occur as the first digit ( 30% o f t he time). From
the relative frequency bar chart, one might be able to argue that the digits do not occur
with the same frequency (the relative frequencies appear to be slightly different).
However, the histogram does n ot s upport the claim that the digit "1" occurs as the first
