HEDDA GABLER 2 Hedda Gabler Hedda Gabler is the main character and she appears to be very friendly to the people she meets. This can be well illustrated when she goes to meet Mrs. Elvsted. “Hedda goes to meet her (Mrs. Elvsted) in a friendly manner” (Ibsen, 2014). Additionally, Hedda also appears to be very respectful and courteous to other people. Hedda also appears to be very intelligent in the way she carries herself around and also in the way she offers advice to other people. It is noteworthy that Hedda is very inquisitive. This is shown in the manner in which she asks Mrs. Elvsted questions. The questions even touch on Mrs. Elvsted marriage life and how she relates with her husband. Furthermore, Hedda appears to be very daring. In the text, there is one particular point where she raises a pistol and aims it directly to judge Brack (Ibsen, 2014). She even goes ahead to say, “Now, Judge Brack, I am going to shoot you” (Ibsen, 2014).
